A 31.7-mile loop and a 13.1-mile point-to-point in the Wasatch Range, Utah. Next summer; date to be confirmed.
A celebration of the trails, landscapes and mountain-running culture of the Wasatch.
Built around two races, the Wasatch Crest 50K and Wasatch Crest Half, the series takes runners through high alpine ridgelines, deep forests and some of the most memorable singletrack in Utah. Each course is designed to showcase the mountains rather than simply make them difficult, pairing genuinely challenging terrain with stretches of trail that are fast, beautiful and incredibly fun to run.
The series is intentionally small and thoughtfully produced, with an emphasis on great courses, well-supported runners and an experience that feels connected to the place hosting it.
This is our celebration of the Wasatch, and an invitation to spend a day running through one of its best corners.
Both courses use the same aid stations. The Half starts at Mill D North, which is the 50K's mile 19.9.
A 31.7-mile loop from Brighton, Utah. 6,245 ft of climbing, high point 9,881 ft.
The Wasatch Crest 50K is a full day on one of the most iconic trail systems in the Wasatch.
Starting and finishing at Brighton, the course climbs into the high country and links together the Wasatch Crest, Desolation, Mill D and the upper reaches of Mill Creek before turning back toward the finish. Along the way, runners move between exposed ridgelines, aspen and pine forest, technical descents and long stretches of exceptionally runnable singletrack.
It is a legitimate mountain 50K, with altitude, sustained climbing and plenty of terrain that demands your attention. But difficulty isn't the point. The course was built around what makes running in the Wasatch so special: big views, varied terrain, beautiful trail and the feeling of covering an extraordinary amount of mountain under your own power.

RegisterThe course reaches Crest at mile 4.2 and Desolation Fork at mile 7.6, where the outbound and return legs separate. It passes Big Water at mile 14.4 and Mill D North at mile 19.9 — the low point at 7,312 ft, and the only drop bag location. The return leg rejoins at Desolation Fork, mile 24.1, and retraces the outbound route through Crest at mile 27.5. Crest and Desolation Fork are therefore passed twice.
All runners park at Brighton. Half runners are shuttled from Brighton to the Mill D North start. There is no parking at the Mill D North trailhead and runners found parked there will be disqualified.
A 13.1-mile point-to-point from Mill D North to Brighton, with 3,434 ft of climbing. Four aid stations including the start and finish.
13.1 miles point-to-point, Mill D North to Brighton. 3,434 ft of climbing, high point 9,881 ft.
The Wasatch Crest Half distills the spirit of the series into a shorter mountain race with very little compromise.
The course climbs from Mill D into the heart of the Wasatch, passing through forest and high alpine terrain before reaching the Crest and continuing toward Brighton. It packs a remarkable amount of scenery and character into a half marathon, with sustained climbing, fast singletrack, mountain views and a point-to-point journey through some of the area's most recognizable trail.
The Half is challenging enough to feel like a true mountain race while remaining approachable for runners who may not be ready for a 50K. For experienced trail runners, it's an opportunity to race hard on an exceptionally fun course. For newer mountain runners, it's a chance to experience the Crest in a supported race environment.
More than a shorter version of the 50K, the Half stands on its own.

RegisterPoint-to-point, gaining 3,434 ft between the Mill D North trailhead at 7,301 ft — the low point of the day — and the finish at Brighton at 8,803 ft. Desolation Fork comes at mile 5.3 and Crest at mile 8.7; both are the same physical stations the 50K uses, run in the same direction as the 50K's return leg. The Half's start line is also the 50K's mile 19.9.
All runners park at Brighton. Half runners are shuttled from Brighton to the Mill D North start. There is no parking at the Mill D North trailhead and runners found parked there will be disqualified.
